Locally grown produce is available to Free Clinic patients that have food related health conditions: Diabetes, Hypertension, Hyperlipidemia, and Obesity. Patients enrolled in the program receive nutritional education and counseling to learn more about healthy eating and healthy preparation of food. Patients receive a healthy bag of produce on the second and fourth Wednesday of each month along with information on the nutritional benefits of each produce item and with recipes to prepare these foods.
